This course provides participants with the knowledge and practical skills needed to recognize and control life-threatening bleeding caused by traumatic injuries, including stab wounds , gunshot wounds and other emergency situations.
Students will learn how severe bleeding affects the body, how to assess a casualty for hemorrhage, and how to take immediate action to reduce blood loss while awaiting emergency medical services. The course covers evidence-based bleeding control techniques, including direct pressure application, wound packing, use of pressure bandages, and the safe and effective application of tourniquets. Through a combination of classroom instruction, demonstrations, and hands-on practical exercises, participants will develop the confidence to respond quickly and effectively in high-stress situations.
