This course provides participants with the knowledge and practical skills needed to recognize and control life-threatening bleeding caused by traumatic injuries, including stab wounds , gunshot wounds and other emergency situations.

Students will learn how severe bleeding affects the body, how to assess a casualty for hemorrhage, and how to take immediate action to reduce blood loss while awaiting emergency medical services. The course covers evidence-based bleeding control techniques, including direct pressure application, wound packing, use of pressure bandages, and the safe and effective application of tourniquets. And chest seals

Through a combination of classroom instruction, demonstrations, and hands-on practical exercises, participants will develop the confidence to respond quickly and effectively in high-stress situations.

This course can be delivered/assessed in the workplace or at facility organised by the training provider.

Course Durations

Course durations can vary for multiple reasons, so the durations below are the minimum possible amount.

Face-to-Face face-to-face contact time of at least 2 Hours 50 Mins

 Ideally student should be 16yrs or over or be accompanied by a teacher or parent/caregiver.
